Ovakva aktivnost – razotkrivanje i “krekovanje” postaje manir.
Artists today often transit from medium to medium, using all means of expression, not as an insistent attempt to “leave the frame” but as an act of adaptation, some kind of “juggling” in an unforeseeable cloud of possibilities which we are confronted with daily. Large number of alternatives and necessity for making choices opens up a space for the intervention on the medium. This kind of activity – revealing and “cracking” becomes a manner.
The exhibition med!aphosis is a part of the project thought of as a series of presentations of different programmes, with the intention to launch a discussion on possible aspects of medium transformation and reveal the position of the medium in this process with its visible instability. In the context of the exhibition as a specific communication medium carrying a property of time and having an “expiry date”, the show itself will be undergoing a process of transformation of the medium.
The exhibition covers different aspects of contemporary artistic practices and raises questions about the extent to which are we designing a medium for creating something and at which moment it begins shaping this creation. Where is the border line between medium used as a tool and when it becomes the subject of the work itself? To which extent does the medium shape different approaches and relations to the work?
The exhibition med!aphosis has been thought of and realized by Marija Dorgović and Selena Savić. With the intention to question the status of media in contemporary artistic production, they are showing works of young artists who work on the border of art and science.
The project med!aphosis is a series of successive events, being itself in a permanent process of transformation. It offers a critical view on the notion of choice when speaking of the technique and technology of an artistic expression.

Selena Savić
(1980). Baveći se pretežno zvukom i instalacijom, apsrahuje delove realnosti i povezuje ih u različite sisteme odnosa, koji često dovode do apsurdnih iskustava. Fascinaciju sistemima i društvenim fenomenima iskazuj baveći se idealističkim projektima (re)konstrukcije društvenih i ličnih dnosa, sa osvrtom na ulogu informacije i medija u svakodnevnom i nesvakodnevnom životu. Diplomirala na Arhitektonskom fakultetu u Beogradu. Živi i radi Holandiji gde studira Medija Dizajn na Pit Cvart institutu.
uf we could tell the future from what is written in our history, we could use the simple browser properties to have it take predicted actions.
The browser recognizes links on a html page as visited or not and displays them by default in different colors. Knowing your past and present locations makes it easier to decide where to go next.
"go to the future" takes you to a tour through random generated domain names from a "soup" of letters that I stripped from links that appear as visited in the browser. If you decide to follow the "prophecy" you will add the future links to the list that gets recognized as visited.

Selena Savić
(1980). She works mostly with sound and installations. Abstracting parts of reality, she connects them into systems of related elements, often resulting in absurd experiences. Her fascination with structure of the society and socal phenomena she expresses through idealistic projects for (re)construction of social and personal relations, reflecting on the role of information and media in the everyday and non-everyday life. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade. Lives and works in the Netherlands, where she is completing her master studies in Media Design at the Piet Zwart Institute.
Instalacija Volfganga Bitnerase na fundamentalan način bavi osnovnim elementom fotografije, svetlom. Uspostavljajući vezu izmedju različitih aspekata objekta, tehnike snimanja i reprodukcije, preispituje se proces nastajanja slike.

Volfgang Bitner
Wolfgang Bittner's installation works with the constituent element of images, namely light, in a fundamental way. By drawing relations between the different aspects of object, recording and reproduction technique, the process of image making itself is put into perspective.

(1981, Salzburg, Austria) is a visual artist working in the field video, photography and installation. He started his artistic career as a painter, before becoming more and more interested in the possibilities of time based and interactive media. Beside the production of short films, large photographic prints and interactive installations, he has been realizing video projections for theatre and audiovisual live performances.
Jeroen Uyttendaele designs audio-visual installations based on fundamental communication principles. Conductive and 'unpolished' materials like graphite and metal are key elements which propagate a direct and physical esthetic.
Jeroen Uyttendaele
(1981) studied audiovisual arts, option radio at RITS, Brussels. The central subject of Jeroen‘s work is sound seen as a physical sculptoral entity. Through the development of sound sculptures, kinetic objects, instruments or composition, he is trying to express the intuitive poetic language that communicates the inherent characteristics of the media. Among his works are the installations 'Plane tape' (2005), ’La promenade Monolith' (2006), Graphite Interface (2007) and Sparkfield (2008). He exhibited in Belgim and The Netherlands.
Rad Lindsi Hausden i Joko Sejama demonstrira snagu arhitekture da obuhvati i redefiniše odnos posetioca sa prostorom. Apstraktno postaje konkretno, konkretno postaje prozirno.

Čineći ovo, posetilac zamenjuje početni uzorak složenijim zvučnim materijalom, i time doprinosi nepovratnom muzičkom procesu.
Lars Kinde
Lars Kynde works with the physical appearance of a musical structure. His sculpture of old tape decks is from the beginning loaded with a short simple sample. By playing and recording this sample in various speeds from tape to tape the visitor can play the sculpture as an instrument. By doing this the visitor replaces the simple sample with more complex ones, and contributes thus to an irreversible musical process.
Lars Kynde
I was born in Denmark 1981. I graduated as composer from the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen 2007, and have since then done research in visual tone representations and alternative instruments at the interfaculty Artscience in the Hague. I work both as composer and as perf orming artist playing percussion, cello and my own homebuilt instruments. The will to do new forms of notation and new instruments came out of the dissatisfaction with the limitations of existing instruments and the existing scoring system. My view is that music, notation and instrument are closely connected, so that new music needs new instruments and new notation, and opposite new instruments and score systems create new music in a natural and idiomatic way.
Diskusija o vremenu koju je u svojim crtežima obradila Rašida Ziani, deo je šire analize naše percepcije vremena. Proširujući domet medija "olovke na papiru" svojim konceptualnim pristupom, ona uspostavlja vezu između tradicionalne umetničke tehnike i savremenog narativa.
Rasida Ziani
Rašida Ziani je francuska umetnica, rođena 1982, u Vilepintu, Francuska. Živi i radi u Hagu, Holandija.
The discussion on time which Rachida Ziani illustrates with her drawings is a part of a wider analysis of our perception of time. Expanding the medium of “pencil on paper” with a conceptual approach to the process as a structure, she establishes a connection between a traditional artistic technique and a contemporary narrative.
Rachida Ziani
Rachida Ziani is a french artist, born in 1982, in Villepinte, France. Lives and works in The Hague, The Netherlands.
